We are all pretty fascinated by dramatic weight loss–just look at our obsession with The Biggest Loser.  Celebrities are pretty well know for their dramatic weight loss diets.  Here are a few dramatic weight loss secrets that can help motivate you as you lose weight.  (After all, if they can do it so can you, right?)

Bill Clinton

Former President Bill Clinton has suffered with heart problems over the years. As he began experiencing further problems even after having a stint placed he decided to change his diet.

How he did it:  Following the advise of Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn (author of Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease) and Dr. Dean Ornish (author of The Spectrum), Clinton engaged in a diet with no meat, no diary, and no processed oil.

The result:  President Clinton lost 24 pounds.

Forest Whitaker

Actor/director Forest Whitaker gained 70 pounds to play his Oscar-winning role in The Last King of Scotland.  After the role was over, Whitaker got serious about getting healthy and living life to the fullest.

How he did it:  Whitaker, who had followed a vegetarian diet for years, cut out soy and other “vegan junk food” from his diet.  He also increased his activity level and started exercising.

The result:  Forest lost 80 pounds.

Jennifer Hudson

Actress/songstress Jennifer Hudson, who is a spokesperson for Weight Watchers, has not only been singing the praises of Weight Watchers on commercial but has also gotten her family involved.  Seeing Jennifer’s success with Weight Watchers, several of her family and friends also joined Weight Watchers and revealed their success on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

How she did it:  Hudson followed the Weight Watchers plan and exercised five times per week.

The result:  Jennifer lost 80 pounds and went from a size 16 to a size 6.

John Goodman

Actor John Goodman says that he made the decision to lose weight because he wanted to live life better.

How he did it:  Goodman adjusted his diet, eliminating sugar and alcohol.  Goodman also exercised 6 days per week.

The result:  John lost over 100 pounds.

Raven-Symone

Actress Raven-Symone who always appears comfortable in her own skin at any weight, has also undergone a recent slim down.

How she did it: Raven has always indicated that stress causes her to gain weight.  There’s no dramatic weight loss diet here…with the end of her show, That’s So Raven, Raven’s stress level reduced dramatically and so did her weight.

The result:  Raven lost an estimated 35 pounds.
